Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and music producer. As a child, Sara was racially taunted by a lot of Americans. Her confidence began to grow during the 9th grade, after she took part in a school audition. She was praised for her performance. This not only increased her confidence, but it also changed the direction she pursued in her professional career. In 1992, she earned her degree from New York's Julliard School. She began her career at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and The You've Got Mail film. Her greatest break came in her performance as The Lady of The Lake, in the original Broadway production of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great praise for the role. Her fame grew when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. She is known as a performer and has also released a single as well as an extended play. As an activist, she strives to promote LGBT equality.
