Zoe-perry
Perry is a Chicago native she was born into Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as shown in flashback) her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's initial TV roles. Her parents did not allow her to begin acting in front of her family until she reached an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the strain it might cause. Perry acknowledged that she was not comfortable acting in high school, but started doing it to meet new people in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry went to New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought the actress back to California and she was able to find acting jobs. The Other Place was performed by her mother and her in 2013 on Broadway in 2013 In 2015, she was a part of her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry played a lead role in the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on ABC's show The Family. In 2017 she had her own recurring part on The ABC drama about politics Scandal with her father. In the same year, she portrayed a child version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother as a young version. The part was offered an audition to the actress, regardless of the fact that she was a cousin to the character.
