Suzy Kolber (born Suzanne Lisa Kolber) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 14, 1964. Her parents are Jewish. She is currently 58. Sandra Kolber was her mother, and Gene Kolber was her father. She is a graduate of Upper Dublin High School in Pennsylvania as well as Sandy Run Middle School. In 1986, she earned a Bachelor of Arts with a telecommunications concentration from University of Miami. Her first job was an executive director of sports at Dynamic Cable located in Coral Gables Florida while she was still an undergraduate college student. She was also in the company for two additional years between 1984 and 1986. During this period she also was a member of the team for water skiing at University of Miami. University of Miami. She moved from Wilmington to New York City after high school to study television and film production at New York University Tisch School of the Arts as well as taking classes in Improv at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. The condition she was diagnosed with was aphasia. age 20. It is a temporary condition that hinders her capacity to comprehend and express spoken language.
