Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid lived in Vietnam with Chinese roots, while Winston Barrett Munn's family is roots deep in the American South. Olivia was 2 years old at the time her parents separated. The family now is run by her stepfather and mom. He's an United States Air Force soldier. They left Oklahoma and moved to various locations, however she lived the majority of her childhood in Tokyo. At the time, she was a part of several stage productions. Later she became an Japanese model. When the family eventually returned home to United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her ambition of becoming an actor. Olivia's acting career took off after just a couple of tiny roles. The role she landed was that of Mily in Hawaii-lensed television series Beyond the Break (2005) as well as the role of receptionist for Rob Schneider in Big Stan (2006). She hosts G4's podcasts "The Daily Nut" and "Formula D". It is her favorite pastime to surf, and she continues practicing since the TV show Beyond the Break (2006). Also, she has an unofficial black belt in Taekwondo. In the age of two, her mom remarried. She was married an US Air Force serviceman. The family has moved numerous times. She spent most of her childhood in Tokyo Japan because that is where her father was stationed. The University of Oklahoma is where she pursued her journalism studies, along with minors in Japanese as well as drama and dramatic arts.
